GWEN MUSE-EVANS is the President and CEO of GME Enterprises, a management consulting company that specializes in providing risk management, operations management, strategic support and housing finance advisory services to corporate, nonprofit and government clients. During her 25+-year tenure in the financial services industry, Ms. Muse-Evans has served in many high-profile executive level leadership positions and has successfully implemented risk management platforms to drive effective management of significant risks at several Fortune 50 companies.
Throughout Ms. Muse-Evans’ career, she has served as a valued leader to resolve complex issues associated with business and market challenges. She was most recently the Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer for the Single-Family business at Fannie Mae where worked from 2001 until 2014. Over her tenure at Fannie Mae, Ms. Muse-Evans was recognized for demonstrating exceptional leadership skills, strategic thinking and the ability to generate consensus for adoption of ideas to fuel proactive and positive change across the organization. Ms. Muse-Evans also had policy development and approval responsibility for Fannie Mae’s Selling and Servicing Guides, which establish national eligibility standards for the secondary mortgage market. She provided national policy leadership to offer housing retention solutions through the Great Recession from 2007 to 2009.
Ms. Muse-Evans has been a keynote speaker and panelist at numerous industry and trade conferences. Ms. Muse-Evans has extensive knowledge of the housing finance industry, expertise in the discipline of Enterprise Risk Management, and demonstrated experience implementing risk management programs including corporate and board governance programs. In addition to her risk management experience, Ms. Muse-Evans is noted for her expertise in mortgage lending, servicing policy, the US mortgage markets and Government Sponsored Enterprise eligibility guidelines, disaster risk management as well as her end-to-end knowledge of mortgage banking from serving in the primary market.
Ms. Muse-Evans earned a Master of Business Administration from Rutgers University, a Bachelor of Business Administration from Pacific Lutheran University, is a Certified Enterprise Risk Professional, a certified Project Management Professional, a certified counselor of the Freddie Mac CreditSmart® financial and homebuyer education, and is a featured speaker with the various industry trade associations.
Ms. Muse-Evans serves on the Board of Managers of LoanCare as well as several non-profit boards and civic service organizations. She has a special passion for improving financial literacy, helping to develop programs and services to address economic inequality for underserved populations, and preventing homelessness in this country.
